Memory Verse:

“Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” – Ephesians6:17

Reflection.

When the phone rings at odd times, most people think, “Oh dear, it must be bad news.”

They don’t think, “I wonder what the good news is that it cannot wait till morning!”

When we hear, “The boss wants to see you,” instinctively, we think, “Oh dear, this is not good.”

But how do we know that it is not going to be about a promotion?

Our minds are inclined toward the negative. So to guard our minds against negative thoughts, we are to put on “the helmet of salvation”, which is “the hope of salvation”. (1 Thessalonians 5:8)

If you are going through a trial right now, putting on as a helmet the hope of salvation means that you have a confident expectation of good coming your way. It means that you choose to believe that this trial that you are going through is only temporary because God will see you through it. It means that you believe that this difficult period will end with your salvation—your deliverance, preservation, wholeness, wellness and health!

You may not know what is going to happen this week. But one thing you can do is to put on the helmet of the hope of salvation and tell yourself that you are going to have a fantastic week, that you’ll have a great year and that all will be well.

You are a child of the living God. You have a Savior watching over you. There are more angels given charge over you than there are demons against you.

And greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

There is every reason for you to have a confident expectation of good happening to you!

Amen.

Thanks man of God. In my situation now currently I felt forgotten by God. I have national diploma in public administration, I lost my Daddy in early age. Is by the grace of God that I manage got my national diploma. Since there is no way to further my education again I decided to go and look for something and be doing with my ND result. I got an offer to go for training in an oil company, hoping to be retain after my training. And I performed well during my training with them and my Boss recommend me to be retain, but unfortunately for me the depot manager became an obstacle for me. I begged and begged, to the point many Oga in the company followed me to the man office but to no avail. I became stranded and left the company in agony of heart. When I came back to Lagos in Nigeria to look for job, I spent some months no job. I decided to be someone gateman to be able to have something to eat and take care of my mother. But to make the matter worst as am typing this now, since last year October when I started the job I have stop going to church. Even when I begged the man to be allowing me to go to church on Sunday he refused. And all the places I submitted my CV no one call me. I have fasted, I have prayed but it seemed that my prayer is bouncing back the ceiling. Now I am the one taking care of my mother, someone said I should leave the job. But what will my mum and I eat? Am stranded. Join me in prayer. All I need now is miracle. Thanks

Thank you for your spiritual vitamin. I am greatly encouraged. I see how one small thought pattern has caused so must grief in my life. So today I stir my faith and raise my level of expectation that God not only wants to bless me, He will!! I choose to re-align my thinking and watch God perform his work.
