7 Urgent New Year Prayers to Open the Gate of 2022

For he said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours because we have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered – 2 Chronicles 14:7

In the year 2005, I relocated from East to West. I moved from Imo State to Lagos State. And that was a significant move for me.

The day I came to Lagos, I did something the Lord had shown me its significance. I stopped at the border leading into the state, removed my shoes, brought out my anointing oil, poured it on the ground, and began to make decrees. I started to decree, saying:

• This land will favor me
• I shall not die in this land
• My glory must shine in this land
• I will excel in this land
• In this land, my testimony must be heard
• I shall never be stranded.
• Etc

Many people presumed that I was the latest mad man in town. Others felt I was getting too fanatical with these prayer things. But I have learned to possess my possessions regardless of what anyone feels. I have learned to possess my possessions through spiritual violence. And I think you do need spiritual violence sometimes.

While I may not ask you to do the same thing that I did when relocating to a new city, I want you to understand something called spiritual gates.

Every town, city, state, or nation has a spiritual gate. And at those gates are spiritual gatekeepers.

There are angels and demons at the gates of every city. Until your case is pleaded at the gate and your victory declared there, you may not experience the level of success and breakthrough you desire in that city.

Yes, you can make prayers from any point and address the spiritual city gates, but you can proclaim your victory faster when there is contact between you and that point.

You must understand the mystery of spiritual gates to take delivery of all that God has in store for your life.

Strangely, it’s not only cities, towns, states, and countries that have spiritual gates that we must possess.

Your life also has spiritual gates that you must know and close against the devil and open for the Lord.

The days of the week, months, and years also have spiritual gates.

Today, the gate of 2022 will open by midnight, and what you say in the first few hours matters a lot. Below are 7 prayers you must pray from midnight to 3 AM.

Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;

I will go before thee and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass and cut in sunder the bars of iron. – Isaiah 45:1-2

You must be spiritually alert to possess the gate of the year before the year starts. That is why I call on you to make these decrees from midnight of December 31^st leading into January 1^st, 2022.  

Pray these prayers with power, in addition to any other prayers you have before 3 AM on January 1.

I would recommend that you start praying them by exactly midnight, but if, for any reason, you can’t, then make sure you say these prayers before 3 AM.

Prayer 1: Declare the Praise of God at the Gate.

I stand at the gate of 2022 right now and shout the praise of God.

(Shout hallelujah! for twelve times)

I declare God’s praise over the year – today, and forever.

I declare that God’s praise and glory shall fill this year

His praise and glory shall fill my life and family,

I declare that God is the Maker of heaven and earth.

He is the Maker of times and seasons

This new year is His creation.

And everything He makes is good.

Therefore, this year is going to be a great year for me and my family, in Jesus name.

Prayer 2: Willfully Let Go at the Gate

At this gate, I willingly let go of all bitterness, anger, hate, and offense in my spirit.

I declare that, henceforth, I bear no grudges for anyone.

I forgive any offense that has been buried in my soul all these years, and I receive grace to truly let go.

I resist and reject every demonic voice and activity designed to remind me of the past and the hurts that I have been through.

I stand before God today and declare that the past is past. Old things have passed away.

All things have become new for me and my family, in Jesus name.

Prayer 3: Declare the Love of God at the Gate.

Heaven and earth hear me today.

Powers and principalities, hear me too.

Angels and kings of the earth, hear me:

God cares for me; everything about me is in His books.

I will not be worried about house, food, drinks, and clothes this year, because God is providing for me everything that makes life meaningful.

His name shall be glorified in my life and family this year.

All my prayers will be answered, and all my past efforts, seeds, and offerings will become harvests of testimonies.

When troubles arise, God will keep us safe, and He will oppose and stop the enemy and his agents, in Jesus name.

Prayer 4: Declare that You Will Prevail at the Gate

At this gate of 2022, I decree and declare that…

This year, I will prevail.

I am in God’s covenant.

I am a child of God through Christ.

I have the nature and image of God.

The Holy Spirit is in me.

The mystery that spoke in favor of Isaac during a national famine will speak for me this year, no matter what happens.

Against all odds, I will prevail, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prayer 5: Declare that You Will Prosper

God has empowered me to excel and overcome.

Therefore, this year will be a year of victory and opportunity for me.

I will grow and expand in wisdom.

I will grow and expand in faith

I will grow and expand in love.

I will grow and expand in ministry.

I will grow and expand in possessions.

I will grow and expand in my finances.

I will grow and expand in miracles and thanksgiving.

It is my year of Rehoboth, and I am unstoppable, in Jesus name.

Prayer 6: Declare that You’re a Victor, Not a Victim

The blessings of God are upon my life and household this year.

The earth will yield her increase for us.

Wherever we go and whatever we do, we will excel, and our victory will be visible to all.

Everything God has made is good, so this year will be good for us.

We will never become victims of famine, sickness, lack, scarcity, pain, terrorism, attacks, and death.

Even if the evil powers of the heavenlies, of the seas, and the grounds are shaken, and darkness covers the earth and gross darkness the people, we will be spared.

I will be safe and secure.

My household will be safe and secure.

Prayer 7:  Declare Your Family Blessed at the Gate

This year, my spouse and I shall grow stronger together.

Our children shall be drawn to the Lord, and all they that are connected to me shall be supernaturally protected, preserved, and provided for.

My children will call me blessed, and I shall be a blessing to them and everyone around us.

We shall have an abundance of health, peace, love, and financial prosperity.

And we will share with others, from the abundance of our supernatural supplies, wealth, peace, good health, and the message of salvation.

This year, we are distributors of kindness, goodness, peace, faith, love, and all the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

This year, money shall serve us.

Scarcity shall be far from us.

When others say there is not enough, we shall be sharing from God’s excess in our care.

Through the mercies of God, we will find help and support in our times of need.

This year, all the broken places of our lives are going to be rebuilt.

By God’s strange intervention, we will no longer lose anything.

We will experience restoration in every area of our lives, in the glorious name of Jesus Christ.
