Reflection
It’s a New Year!
2018 is here.
May God be praised forever and ever, who has given us the grace to see this year.
As we dance and celebrate, let us come before God and prayerfully take charge of the New Year.
Rejoice, for it shall be a year of great restoration and all-around victory, in Jesus name.
Scriptures for Meditation
1. “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” – Isaiah 43:18-19

Prayer of Thanksgiving
- Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of life. Thank You for keeping us all through the year, 2017. Thank You for Your hand of Love and protection that saw us through the year. May all glory be unto thee in Jesus name.
- O LORD, thank You for loading us daily in 2017 with Your benefits. Thank You for carrying our burdens all through and for enabling us to walk in Your prosperity. Thank You for the gift of good health, the gift of family, the gift of children, the gift of siblings, and the gift of parents. Thank You for the gift of my spouse, the gift of love and the gift of marriage. Be praised forever and ever, in Jesus name.
- LORD, I thank You also for the gift of prayer, the gift of Your Word, the gift of the Holy Spirit, the gift of Salvation, and the gift of the Church. You answered all our prayers in 2017 and kept us close to Thee. Even in our weaknesses, fears, faithlessness and sins, You kept us by Your Faithfulness. For this we say, thank You LORD, in Jesus name.
- O LORD, I acknowledge that if it were not Thee, we would not have been here. You frustrated all the activities of the wicked against our lives and turned their counsels into foolishness. You overruled the judgments and decrees of the devil and all his demons against my life, family, and loved ones in 2017. When we walked through the valleys of the shadow of death You kept us, You comforted us all through with the power of Thy Word, and You even set food for us in the presence of scarcity and economic hardship in the world. I say thank You LORD, in Jesus name.
- Thank You LORD for Your faithfulness, mercies, blessings, provisions, guidance, support, forgiveness, comforts, deliverances, protections, and grace upon us. O LORD, you started good works in our lives in the past years, and even in 2017. I am very confident that You will perfect all that concerns us in this year 2018, in the Mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Plead for Mercy
- Heavenly Father, I confess and repent of all sins I committed throughout the year 2017. I confess and repent of all sins of omission or commission. And I pray that all through the year 2018, You will help me to live a life free from sin, in Jesus name.
- O LORD, I ask for grace to live and walk in Thy presence all through 2018. Give me grace to draw closer to Thee day by day. Empower me by the Holy Spirit to pray and prevail in prayers this year, in Jesus name.
- O LORD, anoint my thoughts and my tongue so that every word that proceeds from my mouth this year, 2018, will be acceptable and pleasing unto Thee. May they be seasoned with grace to produce fruits of righteousness and blessings for thy Kingdom, in Jesus name.
- Father, I pray, in this 2018, empower me that no corrupt communication proceed out of my mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers, in Jesus name (Ephesians 4:29 ).
- O LORD, I want to be more Kingdom minded this year. Please show me areas You have endowed me to serve thee in Thy Kingdom this year and help me not to look unto man, but unto Thee as I render my service to Thee, in Jesus name.
Plead the Blood of Jesus Christ
- This day O LORD, I plead the Blood of Jesus Christ over my spirit, soul and body. I plead the Blood of Jesus Christ over my Family, my business, career and the Church where I worship. Let the Blood of Jesus Christ continue to speak for us all through the year, 2018. For the Blood of Jesus Christ speaks better things than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24). In Jesus name.
- Thou blood of Jesus Christ, flow into my life and family this day and cleanse us from all forms of evil contamination, in Jesus name.
- By the Blood of Jesus Christ, I proclaim peace, divine health and prosperity for me and my family in this year, 2018, in Jesus name.
- By the blood of Jesus Christ, I proclaim open door, hope, restoration in every area and all-round victory, in 2018, in Jesus name.
- I mark my life, my home, my community and environments with the Blood of Jesus Christ, all through the year 2018, in Jesus name.
Speak Into the Spirit World
- Heavenly Father, according to the Words of Jesus Christ, “You have given me power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me” (Luke 10:19).
I therefore decree today:
- Every snake and scorpion released from the kingdom of darkness against me and my family this year, be roasted by fire, in Jesus name.
- May every power of the enemy projected against the plan of God for my life this year, be destroyed, in Jesus name.
- It is written: “Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake” (Isaiah 54:15).
I therefore decree today:
- May every evil gathering, meeting and discussion against me in 2018 be destroyed in Jesus name.
- I decree permanent confusion in the camp of evil planners and manipulators against my life and family this year, in Jesus name.
- Father, according to Thy Word, I condemn every evil weapon projected from the pit of hell against my life in 2018, in Jesus name.
- The LORD says that “Whatsoever I shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever I shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 18:18-20).
- Therefore I speak into the powers of the air, land, and sea, I command them all to work for my good in 2018, in Jesus name.
- I decree that all elements of creation will work together to bring me good this year, in Jesus name.
Supplication
- Heavenly Father, I pray that You grant me the grace to excel and be the best in my family, career and community, this year. I humbly ask that You restore to me every missed or lost opportunity of the past years this year. Cause my horn to be exalted to a place of honor this year, in Jesus name
- LORD, I ask for power and wisdom to create wealth in 2018. I ask for divine opportunities to flourish in every area of my life. Give me the wisdom to conceive, design and produce solutions to the needs and problems of my generation. Help me to put in my best in my business and career this year. May Your blessings fill my home, that I may be blessing to others as well, in Jesus name.
- LORD, I pray for divine health. As You said in Your Word, bless us with good health in 2018. Take away all forms of pain and sickness in our lives and family. May affliction never rise again in our lives and families this year, in Jesus name.
- Father, may the battles I fought in 2017 not follow me into 2018. May I experience the victory that is in Thy name this year, 2018. May all old ways, failures, sicknesses, pains, defeats, demotions, setbacks, disappointments, disgrace, disfavor, dishonor, disease, and distractions pass with the year that has just passed, in Jesus name.
- LORD, I desire to be a finisher. There shall be no more unfinished projects in my life this year. I shall start and finish great projects this year that I set my heart to do. Give me the power, strength and wherewithal to see the ideas and visions You put in my heart achieved. Send Your angels to connect me with the resources and opportunities to live and progress in this year with testimonies, in Jesus name.
Proclaim Blessings
- Father I pray this day, 2018, is blessed for us. From Januay to December, we shall be blessed in our going out and in our coming in, in Jesus name.
- In 2018, our seeds shall bear fruit, and we shall have great harvest in the areas of peace, love, finance and health, in Jesus name.
- This year is declared a year of total restoration and all-round victory. I oppose every opposition to our total restoration and victory this year. I bind and cast out of my life, every force that has been a stumbling block in my life, in the name of Jesus Christ.
- This shall be a year of increase, abundant grace, divine favor, new beginnings, success stories, victory in all ramifications, prosperity and divine health. It shall be a year that our strong needs shall all be met, in Jesus name.
- Thank You LORD once again for this great year, 2018, that You have made. We shall rejoice and be glad in it all through, from January to December, in Jesus name
