– 1 Corinthians 16:9 – For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.
– 1 Thessalonians 2:18 – For we wanted to come to you— indeed I, Paul, tried again and again— but Satan obstructed us.
What to Do When You Notice Human Oppositions
1. Recognize that your battle is not with the persons involved
– Ephesians 6:12-13 – 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
2. Recognize that God is with you
– Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
– Isaiah 41:10 – “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
– Deuteronomy 31:6 – “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
– Zephaniah 3:17 – “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”
– Matthew 28:20 “Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
– Hebrews 13:5 “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.'”
3. Sometimes human oppositions is a sign to be patient while waiting on the Lord
4. Don’t change your course because of oppositions
5. Listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit – Jesus and Lazarus
Prayer Points
1. O Lord, teach me thy way, and lead me in a Your path at all times in Jesus name.
2. Heavenly Father, deliver me not unto the will of mine enemies. When false witnesses rise up against me and breathe out cruelty, O Lord, frustrate their plans in Jesus name.
3. I come against every satan inspired human opposition against my life today, I command them to cease in the name of Jesus Christ.
4. O Lord, the hearts of men and kings are in your hands. You turn them wherever you will. I, therefore, decree today that the hearts of all who are incensed against me today are turned for my favour and for the Glory of God, in Jesus name.
5. Every trap, setup and gang-up against me and my family, scatter today by fire, in Jesus name.
6. Every arrow and attack projected against me and my family, go back to your senders in Jesus name.
7. O Lord, open my eyes to hear and know Your will when men are incensed against me. Show me what to do and where to go. Give me the wisdom to make only decisions and calls that will bring glory to your name, in Jesus name.
