Fasting Day 13: Spiritual Warfare: Dealing With Demonic Messengers and Monitoring Spirits Fashioned Against The Year.
“Control yourselves and be careful! The devil is your enemy, and he (and his demons) goes around like a roaring lion looking for someone to attack and eat. – 1 Peter 5:8 (ERV – Paraphrased)
(Culled from the book: Prayer Wave.)
Every kingdom has some kind of hierarchy. Decisions are taken by the leaders and instructions are passed on to other lower members of the kingdom for execution.
For example, when we pray, God sends angels to bring answers to our prayers. In fact, the scriptures make it clear that angels encamp around those who fear God (Psalm 34:7). The word “encamp” simply means to build a camp and observe, monitor, watch, record movements and report.
Same way that God sends angels to encamp around us, devil also delegate’s evil spirits to monitor and execute his plans and decisions over a person, a city or country, in a given time period. These demonic messengers or monitoring spirits spiritually keep watch over one’s life, looking for loopholes, weaknesses and opportunities so that they can come and carry out demonic oppressions and wickedness.
“And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the Sabbath day, that they watched him.” – Luke 14:1
Monitoring spirits, evil watchers, fowlers, besiegers, etc. can appear in dreams and give you food to eat and indirectly afflict your body with a disease or weakness. They can influence people with evil thoughts about you and cause men to hate you for no just cause. They can stop any good thing coming your way all the time, so that you always see something good, become expectant, but it never gets to really come to you.
Monitoring spirits or evil messengers cause disappointments, heartbreaks, extreme delays to prayers and many times convince people to dislike you for no just cause.
They can even be responsible for someone losing something every time without justifiable explanation.
The scripture speaks extensively about monitoring spirits, however they are given different names such as watchers (Daniel 4:13), fowlers (Psalm 91:3), hunters (Proverbs 6:5), snares (Hosea 9:8), besieging army, etc.
If you look at the word fowler as referenced to in Psalm 91:3, you’ll understand a few things about how monitoring spirits operate.
A fowler is a professional birdcatcher. A fowler studies his prey and could take months before he ever launches an attack.
The reason for this is that he’s gathering all information as it relates to his prey so that whenever he does decide to launch his highly calculated attack he’s successful at all attacks. This is why the scripture clearly says that only God can deliver us from the snare or trap of the Fowler.
Today, we are going to speak into the spirit world and command all monitoring spirits against our lives and destiny to be arrested and bound back to abyss. We are going to reclaim what they have stolen from us and retrieve our buried blessings for the year.
