Prayers to Break Spiritual Barriers (1)

Reflection

Welcome to July, our month of breaking the barriers.

This month, the Lord is laying it in my heart to lead his people towards breaking the spiritual barriers against their lives.

A barrier is a fence or other obstacle that prevents movement or access. Something like a gate at a car park or railway station that controls access by being raised or lowered.

A barrier is also a circumstance or obstacle that keeps people or things apart or prevents communication or progress. Other words for barrier are: fence, railing, barricade, hurdle, bar, blockade, roadblock, obstacle, obstruction, stumbling block, bar, block, impediment, hindrance, snag,  drawback, hitch, handicap, deterrent, complication, difficulty, problem, disadvantage, check, stop, hiccup, etc.

In the scripture above, the Apostle Paul noted a point in his life he saw open doors before him, but the devil raised oppositions, adversaries, and barriers that prevented him from accessing those open doors. In 1 Thessalonians 2:17-18, he wrote again:

17 But we, brethren, having been taken away from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavored more eagerly to see your face with great desire. 18 Therefore we wanted to come to you—even I, Paul, time and again—but Satan hindered us.

In both instances, satan hindered him from proceeding with a course he knew was God’s plan for his life.

Every time you desire progress, recognize that the devil may raise barriers.

These barriers could be in the form of adverse events, circumstances, oppositions from people, health challenges, etc.  Recognize that these barriers are not from God. They are the works of the devil.

This month, let us arise and declare God’s word against every barrier the enemy has raised against our lives and families, barriers that have stood between us and God’s blessings and promises.

Ephesians 6:12 reminds us: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Every Christian is involved in a spiritual warfare. We may not like it, we may not know it, but that is what it is.

Until we obtain spiritual breakthrough, our physical breakthrough is not certain.

There is a spiritual struggle ongoing against our lives because we are the only threat to Satan and his plans against God and His children. However, we have the assurance of victory as we pray and decree God’s words.

Prayers

1. Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of another month, the month of July. Thank You for Your protection and provision. Thank You for keeping us safe and not allowing the will of the devil to prevail over our lives and families. May Your Name be glorified forever and ever, in Jesus name.
   

   ---

2. Father, Lord, in this month of July, empower me to walk before You in holiness and purity. Uproot from my heart every seed of impure thoughts that lead to words and actions that defile. Make me Your vessel empowered for good works throughout this month and beyond, in Jesus name.
   

   ---

3. I decree today that I am a vessel of gold, created for honorable purposes. I am empowered for good works which God prepared for me even before I was born. I will walk in God’s will for my life every day, in Jesus name.
   

   ---

4. Today, O Lord, I come against every invisible barrier the enemy has raised against Your plans and promises for my life. I come against every attack on my health, finances, and my family; I declare them terminated today, in Jesus name
   

   ---

5. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I command all the barricades, obstacles, and hindrances that the devil has raised against me and my family, preventing us from accessing our financial breakthrough, I command them to be destroyed today, in Jesus name.
   

   ---

6. May all spiritual and physical barriers against the doors God has opened for me and my family to excel be shattered today, in the name of Jesus Christ.
   

   ---

7. Today, I come against every demonic opposition in my workplace. I come against every demonic conflict in my family. I come against every evil attack and plantation in my home and marriage; I end them today, in Jesus name.
   

   ---

8. I command every power assigned to fight and delay my blessing, breakthrough and promotion to become paralyzed and destroyed today, in Jesus name.
   

   ---

9. From this day forward, I begin to receive the manifestation of my financial breakthroughs, supernatural connections and promotion, peace that passes understanding, and speedy advancement, in Jesus name.
   

   ---

10. I put an end to every form of stagnation and delay in my life henceforth, in Jesus name.
    

    ---

11. Every ancient demonic barriers raised in my family, be destroyed today in Jesus name.
    

    ---

12. In this remaining half of the year…

• I shall recover everything the enemy has stolen from me.
• I shall excel in all that I do.
• I shall advance in God’s will and purpose for my life.
• I receive grace and wisdom for speed in life
• I shall advance and make unusual progress in all areas of life
• I shall dwell in God’s presence every day of my life.
• Good news will surround me
• There shall be no loss
