Prayers to Cancel the Effects of Evil Dreams & Nightmares

Do you always wake up from your night dreams feeling oppressed or sick?

Are you trying to remember more of your night dreams?

Well, today, let us come before God and take authority over our night dreams.

But first, how are you doing?

It’s been a while I wrote a blog post or emailed you.

Well, the reason is that I made an emergency journey to a remote village for some supervisory and experimental ministry work. I love having new experiences, and this village is providing a great one for me this year, plus giving me a needed break from all the hullabaloo of the news and work.

Unfortunately (and thankfully), the network there is very poor. I am only able to make calls or do any social media updates when I go to town.

That’s the reason I’ve not been able to make any post, respond to messages, and receive prayer calls.

Though I’m still in the village (by the way, you’ll love this village lol), but I felt compelled to send you these prayer points. I know you’ll find them useful and handy.

Instructions

1. Ensure to read all scriptures, prayers, and declarations as provided. But as you pray, yield to the Holy Spirit, listen to your heart, and pray beyond the prayer words.
2. Pray these prayers for seven nights, anytime from midnight to 3:00 AM.
3. Write down every dream, idea, thought, or direction you receive during this period.

Introduction

Our dreams are avenues to hear the voice of God. They are also avenues that the devil can try to implement his evil programs against us.

I know that when you try to think through some of your dreams, most of them are filled with storylines and events that don’t make sense.  But they are not to be discarded, as they may contain the keys to your deliverance and breakthrough.

Look at the following enquiries; these are just the few that are close to me as I write this chapter:

I don’t know why this is so, except I remember I had a dream when I was seventeen and, in that dream, I saw myself in the middle of the sea wedding a man and surrounded by snakes. In that dream, it was a glamorous event. Can you help me break this covenant? I want to be married.” – GD

Facts About Dreams

Dreams are a way that God allows us to see into the spirit realm and understand how to go about our spiritual battles. They are exposing the level of the word of God in us and calling us into deeper fellowship with God, or the specific spiritual strategy of the devil against us.  They may also be showing us the secrets of our past, present, and future.

I teach on dreams every Friday and Saturday in my Facebook audio broadcast, and I usually get several dreams from listeners and readers. Ninety percent of the dreams don’t sound good. Most of them are a clear illustration of spiritual exploitation in place, a signal of the spiritual battles going on against the individuals.

Every dream you have is trying to tell you something. You may not know what it is, but it is surely saying something.

Maybe there is a covenant that needs to be broken by the Blood of Jesus Christ; perhaps there is an attack that needs to be canceled; maybe there is a call that needs to be heeded; maybe there is a relationship that needs to be departed from; perhaps there are business partners, staff, or colleagues that need to be cut off; maybe there is a healing process that needs to take place.

• Your dreams are interpreting your present challenges and showing what to do about them
• Your dreams are showing you the right prayers to pray so that you don’t keep praying amiss
• Your dreams are bringing some clarity over your many requests.
• If you don’t always remember your dreams, the devil is robbing you of essential spiritual direction

Tips for Understanding Your Dreams

1. Pay attention to repeated dreams: The first and most important rule about listening through your dreams is this: If you have a repeated (similar) dream more than once, or twice, you need to pay attention.
2. Write down your dreams: Don’t despise them just because you don’t understand them at first. Keep note of them and pray for discernment. God may be allowing you to see deep things that will enforce your breakthrough.
3. Never trust dream interpretation from the internet, Google search or social media.
4. Pray over your dreams: Ask God for the meaning (James 1:5).
5. Look for biblical symbols. Biblical symbols are Bible representations of the objects, substances, elements, and events that appear in your dream. For instance, if you dream dog dreams, find out what the Bible depicts for dogs. If you dream dreams about snakes, deserts, falling sky, etc, look for some Biblical connection. When you connect what the Bible depicts for the elements in your dreams, you’ll begin to discern what God is allowing you to see in the spirit.

What to Do Today

Have you had repeated dreams that you don’t have an insight into their significance?

Are your dreams constantly troubling you?

Do you always forget your dreams?

Can you remember some dreams that you think must have some hidden messages, but which you don’t know?

Today, write down your dreams of the previous months that you remember, especially dreams that have repeated themselves over and over in your life. Then come before God to receive insights about these dreams and cancel all evil implications that some may have.

Prayers

Start your prayers with intensive praise and worship, and begin to pray thus:

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your plans and purpose for my life and destiny.

I thank You for the gift of dreams and spiritual sight. 

Thank You for the grace to dream and receive visions of the night, in Jesus name.

Thank You, Lord, for every dream You have allowed me to see in the past.

Thank You for the ones that I remember, and thank You for the ones that I don’t remember.

Thank You for the dreams that brought me blessings and thank You for the dreams that I did not understand.

I thank You, Lord, because I know that in all things You have kept and protected me until this day.

Be glorified forever and ever, in Jesus name.

Today, O Lord, I surrender my dream life into Your hands. 

Your Word says that when I lay down, I shall not be afraid, and my sleep shall be sweet (Prov. 3v24).

I, therefore, pray Lord, that from this day forward, may my sleep be sound, sweet and blessed, in the name of Jesus Christ.

O Lord, give me the grace and ability to sleep and wake up peacefully and soundly every day, in Jesus name.

From today…

• I rebuke and reject every spirit of sleeplessness
• I rebuke and reject every spirit of fear during my sleep.
• I rebuke and reject every spirit of affliction during sleep and dreams
• I rebuke and reject every spirit of oppression, sickness, witchcraft, and
• I reject and rebuke all forms of nightmares and unnecessary up and down in the dream, in Jesus name.

Henceforth, whenever I lie down to sleep, I shut the gates and doors of my sleep and dreams against the devil and his demons, in the name of Jesus Christ.

By the Blood of Jesus Christ, I cancel the effects of all negative, witchcraft, and demonic dreams I have had in the past.

I command their works and influences in my spirit, soul, and body; in my life, family, and destiny to be nullified and erased forever and ever, in the name of Jesus Christ.

From this day on, I restrict and forbid evil movements of wicked spirits that manipulate and influence my dreams negatively.

Jesus said, “In my Name, you shall cast out the devil.”

So, in the most powerful and victorious Name of Jesus Christ, I cast out every demon and evil spirit on assignment to frustrate my life through evil dreams and immoral actions. I send you dream demons into the abyss, in Jesus name.

I, therefore, disconnect myself from every unseen personality, covenant, and agreement that foments evil dreams against me, in Jesus name.

• I declare everywhere, and every place I lay down to sleep sanctified and cleansed with the blood of Jesus Christ.
• I declare every material I lay upon to sleep sanctified and cleansed with the Blood of Jesus Christ. In Jesus name.

O Lord, let Your Glory, Light, and Presence overshadow me continually and destroy every darkness around me.

When I lay down to sleep, Lord, I shall sleep in peace and wake up in peace.

Silence the voice of the darkness and its fruits during my sleep permanently, in Jesus name.

From today, I declare every generational, ancestral, family, and bloodline strongholds, covenants, agreements, and evil attachments of my maternal and paternal lineage, fighting to frustrate my star, destiny, and purpose in life through evil dreams, be destroyed by the fire of God, in Jesus name.

By the Blood of Jesus Christ, I declare broken and nullified every unholy soul tie, agreement, vow, pledge, promise, and contract that commands evil dreams in my life, in Jesus name.

I cover my mind with the Blood of Jesus Christ.

I forbid all forms of negative and demonic influence over my mind henceforth.

I forbid and end all evil activities in my mind.

I cast into the abyss every evil spirit working against my mind and preparing it for manipulative dreams.

And I declare that I have the mind of Christ from this day forward, in Jesus name.

May every unhealthy philosophy, stronghold, and attachment I allowed to be created in my mind that opens the door for evil dreams be destroyed from today onwards, in Jesus name.

I rebuke and ban every water spirit and spiritual personality on assignment against my dream life. I quash their plans, impacts, attacks, and manipulations against me and my household, in the name of Jesus Christ.

By the healing power of the Blood of Jesus Christ, I declare my spirit, soul, and body healed of every negative influence or attack on my life as a result of evil dreams, in Jesus name.

Heavenly Father, scatter and put to flight every evil gathering summoned concerning me; let them be as chaff before the wind; let Your angels chase them; let their way be dark and slippery and let Your angels pursue them into utter darkness, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

From today, my spiritual ears and eyes are open to God’s voice and instructions.

Through my dreams and night visions, I will know what God wants me to do to enforce my deliverance, healing, and financial dominion, in Jesus name.

Ministering angels of my life and destiny, go into every dark and secret place where my money is hidden and bring them back to me in physical reality, in Jesus name.

I quash and relinquish any evil name spiritually assigned to my personality, used by demons and evil powers to appear and torment me in dreams, in Jesus name.

Henceforth, I forbid my names from being used by demons and human agents of darkness for evil pronouncements, incantations, charms, dream manipulation, and any form of witchcraft, in Jesus name.

I reject and command for total destruction, any evil personality using my name and face in dreams for wicked propaganda and activities, in Jesus name.

You are the Lord of all graces.

Thank You for the victory and deliverance You have given to me over satanic evil dreams, in Jesus name.
