What is God Saying for the Year 2021?
I know that today is not January 1st, 2021 but let me welcome you to 2021 all the same.
Congratulations.
You made it.
God will keep you and make His face shine upon you.
Thank God we are here irrespective of the many challenges of the year 2020.
It’s that time again to draw up many new year goals and resolutions. But remember that if there is anything the year 2020 taught us, it is that “It is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of the Lord that showeth mercy.”
While I believe in planning and drawing yearly goals, let us come before God and spend time surrendering the entire year to Him. The Bible says:
Psalm 37:5 – Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you (NLT)
Proverbs 16: 3 – Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans (NIV).
David and Solomon made these statements not out of trying to sound religious. But based on their own various experiences. They discovered in their lives, as many of us have also found out that, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the laborers labor in vain.”
No, God is not saying you should not plan your life; neither is He saying you should do nothing and that He will hand you a written paper of things to focus on every year. Not at all. You must plan your life, but you must do it in recognition of His place in the plans and the things you aim to achieve.
This awareness is why we come before God every first month of the year to prayer-plan the year in His presence. During this period of praying, fasting, meditation, and seeking, we present the year to God, ask Him for what we should focus on for the year, speak into the year, and present our desires to Him in prayers. We remind Him of His promises and “commit to Him whatever we want to do,” and look up to Him to help us do much more than we asked or thought about.
I believe that man, no matter how intelligent, is incapable of designing his path to fulfillment and happiness without God’s help.
Instead of drawing up many lists for the New Year and chasing them blindly, join us to seek God’s wisdom, direction, and help for the year. Join us to pray, “Lord, guide our hearts on what we must pursue this year.”
When God is at the root of our plans and pursuits, we are sure of success, irrespective of the darkness that covers the earth.
So, What is God Saying for the Year 2021?
I have just released our prayer manual for 2021. It is our 21 days prayer outline for the year.
In this manual, I shared our direction for the year as I have done in the last four years. Then I also provided you with powerful prayers and declarations to command the year.
While I do not give predictions of events for the year, the Holy Spirit does inspire me with the direction that our ministry and readers should believe and pray along.
In 2020, for example, the Lord gave us a word and said, “It is a year to arise and shine no matter the darkness that will come on the world.”
Honestly, I didn’t think about the level of darkness that the world would experience.
My mind went towards economic crisis, wars, terrorism, and others, but not the noisome pestilence that shook the world.
The events of 2020 entrenched Jesus’ words deeper in my heart:
“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33
Read that again.
Did you see anything there?
It is only in the words of Jesus that we will have peace. Not in the world.
The world gives trouble; only the Word gives peace.
If you meditate and dwell on the events of the world, you will have trouble; but if you meditate on the Word of God, you will have peace.
As we approach the final minutes of this generation, the troubles of the world and her systems will increase and multiply. We don’t know how, neither do we know the specific situations we may wake up to hear tomorrow or next.
But we know that they will come and that troubles are not pleasant. Troubles mean pain, hardship, and darkness. However, one thing is sure: in Christ, we will have peace, protection, and hope.
Our Year of Dominion
As I pray, meditate, and think about the year 2021, the Holy Spirit is bringing these words to my heart: It is a year we must go back to the very beginning and embrace the reason God made us.
It is a year to stand and refuse to be intimidated by the birds of the air, the beasts of the land, and the fishes in the water. It is a year to know who we are and refuse to bow to the pressures from the outside.
Therefore, by the leading and inspiration of God’s Spirit, I declare the year 2021 as the year we will Walk in Dominion.
Our anchor text says:
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth (and all the wild animals on the earth) and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth – Gen. 1:26 (Emphasis mine)
The fishes of the sea represent the powers of the waters; the birds of the air means the highest principalities and powers of darkness in the heanvenlies; the livestock and wild animals represent the wicked powers, political institutions, and inhumane governments of the earth world; while the creepy things of the earth represent the deceitful, fraudulent, witchcraft-minded individuals we relate with every day.
Even if these powers are stirred, don’t be shocked or afraid. God has ordained you for dominion. You will prevail over these powers because God made it to be so.
So join me in the spirit of agreement, and let’s declare the year 2021 as the year we will walk in dominion.
You will walk in dominion.
Your spouse will walk in dominion.
Your children will walk in dominion.
Every member of your family will walk in dominion, in the name of Jesus Christ.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I welcome you to 2021, our year of dominion.

I am requesting prayers, please, on several fronts. My oldest daughter will not speak to me and I don’t know what it is that I have done to cause this. On October 28 of this year, my middle daughter passed away due to cancer (she was 40) and I’m now raising her daughter who is 12. We made it through the holidays, but I feel she is very angry inside and isn’t dealing with it well as she lashes out at me (and tells me she was just joking)at times. Her mother would not let me talk to her about Jesus, but since she has passed, my granddaughter has started going to the youth group at my church and I am so hoping and praying that she will accept Christ into her heart. After the first of the year, we are going to have to sit down and make new ground rules for living in the house to I would appreciate prayers about that, too. This adjustment to the “new normal” if proving to be extremely difficult.
#2021 is the year we must repent & back to God, the truth. ? Live a holy noble life. ? Praising & thanking God everyday. ?❤️
